The Wrong Shoes
WEEK-04: My Advantageous Leg Goes Bad
On Thursday after my 1st pillar Op. check on Monday, 2 wks pillar Op. and 3 weeks column ATR, my good leg takes a make a plunge take a header.
The strain of constantly having to pair of scales on one leg while washing, preparing bread, etc. has caught up with me. My profitable leg and foot are hurting to the amplitude I cannot walk on the serviceable leg and can just about rest on the feet up.
The good lower extremity hurts along the solitary on a thin line; the ankle and sink leg hurt when I advance by steps on the leg and lesser punishment when I stand. I muse this due to the tensing up they do when Im balancing on the leg to do things; hopefully a two of days repose will put it right. But now Im totally stable, chained to my bed, as good luck would have it my link to the superficies world, my laptop, is shut up by.
I also think my footwear is a go-between; I always wear my slipper indoors and although it has a raised alone like a shoe it doesnt proffer much support. From now on I will bear a training shoe indoors.
I am bored, bored, bored.
I have also resolute I wont be playing soccer again; I will be at least 43 when Im abundantly recovered and I never lack an ATR again! I may take up coaching a bloom team or reasonable have a kick-about with friends at the park. BUt no more twisting and meander for me. I will stick with the gym, jogging, cycling and skipping (when done suitably is very low impact, your paw is only an inch off the mould). Or thats how I perceive today anyway.
Im hitting the books. I peruse with interest Kelly Holmes AT incidental narrative and recovery. Kelly won 800m & 1500m Olympic golds in 2004 with one foot in the grave 34, but she had many injuries including a torn AT in about July 1997. It wasnt a full inflated rupture and was treated in a fling with no surgery. But by end of the year there was no running. The cicatrix later thickened and required surgery to transport some of it. By May the following year she was still not adroit to run properly (lower extremity locked) and went to see a physio in Limerick, Ireland. After 6 weeks he had her running and she competed in the The people Games in September (she won a 1500m of silver medal), equitable over 1 year after the AT separate by pulling. Part of the physio included massaging her calf with his elbows, which was very agonizing but paid off in the end.
